As part of an ongoing crackdown on violent crime, federal authorities are actively investigating and apprehending some of New Jersey’s most dangerous fugitives.
The U.S. Marshals Service, in coordination with the New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force, executed a high-intensity enforcement operation from March 17 to 21 that resulted in more than two dozen arrests.

According to information released by the U.S. Department of Justice, over 25 fugitives were captured during the multi-day operation, many of them wanted for serious and violent offenses, including homicide, sexual assault, weapons violations, and gang-related crimes.
“These arrests send a clear and powerful message: justice will be served,” said Juan Mattos Jr., U.S. Marshal for the District of New Jersey.
“Law enforcement will find you and hold you accountable—there is no safe haven for those who commit violent crimes.”
Among the individuals taken into custody was Kenneth Tripline, 36, who was wanted for a fatal home invasion in Bridgeton.
Arrests also included multiple convicted sex offenders, individuals unlawfully residing in the country, and a known MS-13 gang member. In addition to the arrests, investigators seized a loaded firearm, crack cocaine, and a significant quantity of heroin.
Officials emphasized that the success of the operation was made possible through seamless coordination among federal, state, and local partners.
“These results are the product of tireless collaboration and unwavering dedication,” Mattos added. “We are fully committed to keeping New Jersey communities safe.”
The U.S. Marshals Service has a long-standing history of leveraging multijurisdictional partnerships and investigative resources to track down high-risk fugitives.
Since the 1980s, it has worked closely with law enforcement agencies across all levels to ensure those who pose a threat are brought to justice.
