The Wilmington Police Department has issued a Gold Alert as they urgently seek public assistance in locating 31-year-old Ahlea Freeman, a former resident of Essex County, New Jersey.
Police said Freeman, who has been missing since October 1, was last seen in the 100 block of West 10th Street in Wilmington, Delaware.
Described as a black female, standing 5'6" tall and weighing approximately 123 lbs, Freeman's disappearance has sparked concern among the community and law enforcement officials. Her mom and other family members stood in front of West Orange High School with community leader Donna Jackson pleading for anyone with information to contact them.
Adding to her distinguished profile, Freeman is a 2010 graduate of West Orange High School and has earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Felician University.
The Wilmington Police Department is appealing to anyone with information about Ahlea Freeman's current location to come forward.
Members of the public who might have seen her or know of her whereabouts are urged to contact the Wilmington Police Department immediately at 302-654-5151.
The community hopes for a swift and positive resolution to this case, as concerns for Freeman's well-being grow with each passing day.
