UPDATE: Woman Wanted for Domestic Violence Stabbing of Man in Newark

Police officials in Newark are reporting that a warrant has been issued for the arrest of Ms. Omeisha Griffin, 28, of Newark who is wanted for a domestic violence-related aggravated assault that occurred on Tuesday, August 28th.

Police say at approximately 1:45 p.m., a man was stabbed inside a building in the area of Foster Street and Frelinghuysen Avenue following a quarrel with a woman he knew.

According to police, the victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment.

Detectives investigating this incident have identified Omeisha Griffin as a suspect and have secured a warrant for her arrest on charges of Aggravated Assault.

Police say Griffin is described as 5’7” tall and weighs 180 lbs.

She has short blonde hair and was last seen wearing a gray tank top and blue jeans.

While police are actively searching for Griffin, we seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing her from our streets.
