Harrison Police are investigating a pedestrian strike that left a woman injured on Friday.
According to a statement released by Harrison Police, at 7:37 p.m., units were dispatched to the intersection of Harrison Avenue and Manor on a report of a pedestrian struck by a car.
Police say once officers arrived on the scene, they found a 24-year-old Harrison resident suffering injuries after she was hit by the vehicle as she ran across Harrison Avenue.
According to police, witnesses and individuals at the scene said the victim exited a rideshare vehicle then ran around the back of the car before she was struck.
EMS transported the woman to University Hospital in Newark for evaluation.
Police say it is unknown at this time if there was any significant injury.
