Authorities in Bergen County are investigating the cause of a drowning that killed a woman in Hasbrouck Height overnight.
Officials said officers were dispatched to a possible drowning victim.
Upon arrival, the female victim was observed lying on the ground, unconscious and unresponsive, next to a hot tub located in the rear of the house.
According to officials, after a quick assessment of the victim, CPR was initiated and continued until paramedics arrived on the scene to take over and administer medical aid.
While on the scene, officials said paramedics made a pronouncement of the victim.
Detectives contacted Bergen County Sheriff’s Department BCI Unit to process the scene. BCPO significant crimes were also contacted. Detectives and BCI processed the scene and deemed no foul play.
Bergen County Medical Examiner’s Office was contacted and arrived on the scene to take custody of the victim to conduct an autopsy.
