In an update of a report we brought to you on Friday evening regarding two pedestrian that were struck by a vehicle in Newark's North Ward, we are pleased to announce that the woman and the child are home recuperating.
The incident happened in the 200 block of 1st Avenue West at Bloomfield Avenue (just outside of Callandra's Bakery) at around 4:15 p.m. where emergency responders rushed to the sene after receiving reports of injured pedestrians at that location.
Arriving crews located a female adult and child laying on the ground suffering injuries after a vehicle reportedly lost control and struck the pair.
The woman suffered a minor leg injury while the child reportedly suffered some bumps and bruises.
Both victims were taken to the hospital where they were treated by medical staff according to reports.
Police are investigating the incident.
