Authorities in Morris County took a woman into custody after police tracked her in a section of Parsippany driving a carjacked vehicle.
Newark Police officials said the violent encounter happened around approximately 4:55 p.m., Monday, August, when a female driver entering her car near 65 Jay Street was carjacked by a woman armed with a knife.
According to reports, police used the vehicle's OnStar GPS device to track the car out to Morris County.
Newark Police said Parsippany Police located the suspect and the victim's vehicle, taking the suspect into custody without incident.
The victim did not report any physical injuries and the incidents are under investigation.
