East Brunswick Police joined the Middlesex County Prosector’s Office to investigate an incident where three people died inside a backyard pool this afternoon.
According to a press conference, East Brunswick Lt. Frank Sutter said at approximately 4:18 p.m. today (Monday), police received a 911 call from neighbors reporting screams and a possible fall victim.

Lt. Sutter said when emergency responders arrived, they found three victims: a woman age 32, her 8-year-old daughter and a 62-year-old man in a backyard above ground pool submerged in about 4ft of water.
According to Lt. Sutter, the victims were pulled from the pool and administered CPR, which proved unsuccessful.
All three victims died at the scene.
Lt. Sutter said there were other relatives inside the home, but it is not clear what role anyone else played in the drowning.
Neighbors said the family just moved into the house about two weeks ago.
The incident remains under investigation
