A Union middle school teacher allegedly suffered a severe head injury after being struck by a car this afternoon.
According to police, officers responded to the intersection of Morris Avenue and Caldwell Avenue just after 2 p.m. for a report of a pedestrian struck.
Upon arrival, officers found Michael Hamilton, 46, suffering a severe laceration to his head after he was struck by a vehicle - driven by 52-year-old Linda Mitchell - who was reportedly attempting to turn left onto Morris Avenue.
Hamilton was transported to University Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
All roads were reopened to normal traffic flow shortly after 4 p.m.
The accident is being investigated by Officer Joseph Devlin of the Township of Union Police Department.
