UPDATE: Two Wounded by Gunfire in Paterson

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald announce that at approximately 8:58 p.m. on September 3rd, members of the Paterson Police Department were in the area of Van Houten and Carroll Street when they heard multiple shots fired.

According to authorities, police immediately proceeded to the area of Van Houten and Summer Street where they located a 18 year-old man and a 26 year-old man, both Paterson residents, who suffered non-fatal gunshot wounds.

Officials say both victims were immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson for treatment.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
