UPDATE: Two Women Critically Injured in Crash Outside Arts High School in Newark

Newark Police are investigating a serious crash that occurred outside Arts High School in the Central Ward, leaving two women critically injured. AdPublic Safety Director Fritz Fragé, told RLS Media the incident took place at approximately 10:39 a.m. on Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard.

Emergency responders were called to the scene after two pedestrians were struck as a result of a two-car collision, with one vehicle crashing into a wall at Arts High School.

Both women, along with the drivers involved in the collision, were transported to University Hospital for treatment.

The pedestrians, believed to be educators from Newak’s East Ward are in critical condition, while both drivers are reportedly in stable condition.

The pair were reportedly headed from the East Ward to attend a professional development inside the Arts High School building, which was closed for students engagement for the day. AdThe investigation into the crash is ongoing.
