Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting in Camden that left two young men dead late Saturday night.

According to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert for gunfire around 10:54 p.m. on March 29 in the area of the 600 block of Elm Street.
Upon arrival, Camden County Police located Francisco Benavides, 21, of Pennsauken, suffering from gunshot wounds near the 600 block of North 5th Street.
Benavides was rushed to Cooper University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at approximately 11:42 p.m.
Shortly after, a second victim, identified as Luis Delgado, 22, of Camden, was brought to the same hospital with gunshot injuries.
He was pronounced dead at approximately 11:34 p.m.
According to information released by Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez, detectives are actively investigating the double homicide.
At this time, no arrests have been made and no motive has been confirmed.
