UPDATE: Tragic Snowplow Collision on Garden State Parkway Claims Two Lives in NJ

NJ State Police officials are probing the cause of a crash that killed two people on a highway in Monmouth County last night.  AfState Police said the devastating motor vehicle crash occurred on the Garden State Parkway in Tinton Falls Borough, resulting in the loss of two lives.

The incident, which happened at around 8 p.m. near milepost 104.2, involved an International snowplow truck and a Toyota SUV, both heading northbound.

According to the preliminary investigation conducted by troopers, the snowplow was attempting to enter the emergency vehicle U-turn area at milepost 104.2 when the Toyota SUV, driven by Mr. Eliyahu Neydavoud, a 29-year-old male from Lakewood, lost directional control.

This loss of control led to the Toyota impacting the side of the snowplow truck.

Tragically, officials said both Neydavoud and his passenger, 30-year-old Mr. Raizel Rothernberg, also from Lakewood, sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision.

The unexpected and sudden nature of this incident has left the local community in shock.AfCurrently, the accident remains under active investigation. Authorities are working to determine the exact cause of the crash and whether factors such as weather conditions, vehicle speed, or mechanical issues played a role. 

At this time, no additional information has been made available. As the investigation continues, officials are urging any witnesses or individuals with relevant information to come forward to assist in piecing together the events leading up to the tragic accident.
