Three victims were rushed to the hospital and are now stable after a hazmat incident at a Newark South Ward Bank Tuesday.
Police evacuated the Wells Fargo Bank on Lyons Avenue on Tuesday after a man brought in cash tainted with an unknown substance just before noon.
Three employees at the bank then reported they were feeling sick and were transported to Newark Beth Israel Medical Center for evaluations.
Authorities have yet to determine what substance was on the money and if the hazmat situation directly affected the employees.
The investigation remains active.
