An earlier armed carjacking that happened in the area of University Ave. and Bleeker Street had the suspect eventually drive to a nearby dealership where he reportedly used the vehicle as collateral to steal a BMW from the establishment.

Police were called to the dealership located in the 30's block of Stone Street shortly before 8:30 p.m. on a robbery report after management informed authorities of the incident.
Units heavily canvassed the area in search of the vehicle when they located the BMW at an address on Broadway a short time later. The male driver was stopped by police near 103 Broadway where they arrested the suspect without incident.
There were no injuries reported.
