Federal authorities are assisting the Middlesex County Prosecutors Office to investigate a North Brunswick shooting that left the son of federal judge dead and her husband fighting for his life this evening
According to a preliminary investigation, the pair -related to U.S. District Court Judge Esther Salas- were shot this evening after a gunman dressed as a FedEx delivery driver entered their North Brunswick home on Point of Woods Drive.
Officials confirmed that Mr. Daniel Anderl , the judge’s 20-year-old son has been pronounced dead at the hospital.
According to reports, Judge Salas’ husband, Mr. Mark Anderl, 63, is in critical condition. Aderle is a criminal defense attorney and former Assistant Essex County Prosecutor,
The motive for the shooting is under investigation and the suspect remains at large
