Passaic County officials reported that at approximately 12:50 a.m. Paterson Police officers were dispatched to the area of East 22nd Street and 10th Avenue on a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office officials police said they located a 26-year-old male and a 35-year-old male Paterson resident suffering from non-fatal gunshot wounds.
Police say the victims were en route to the hospital via private vehicle.
Responding officers rendered medical aid, and both were subsequently transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson for treatment.
While this was occurring, police said additional units were dispatched to the area of Madison Avenue and 10th Avenue on another report of shots fired.
Responding officers did not locate any victim(s) but located a potential crime scene.
A short time later, a 37-year-old female, a 33-year-old female, a 31-year-old female and a 36-year-old male (all Paterson residents) arrived at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in via private vehicles seeking treatment for non-fatal gunshot wounds.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
