Police in Jersey City reported no injuries in a shots-fired incident that erupted in a section of the city Sunday morning.
At approximately 6:30 a.m., police responded to reports of shots fired in the vicinity of Wade Avenue and Martin Luther King Drive.
Upon arrival, police found evidence of a shooting, but no victims were located after officers searched the scene.
Police notified hospitals in the region to look out for potential walk-in gunshot victims.
Witnesses told police that a Hispanic male produced a weapon and began firing at unknown targets before running from the scene towards Warner Avenue.
The motive behind the shooting is under investigation.
