The Linden Police Traffic Bureau is presently investigating a serious overnight crash on Routes 1&9, police said.
According to police, officers responded to a report of a serious motor vehicle crash sometime around midnight on the southbound side of Routes 1 & 9 near the intersection with Willow Glade Road.
Based on preliminary investigations, a 2014 Chrysler 300 ran off the roadway and struck a tree.
The driver suffered a compound lower leg fracture and rear seat passenger experienced a serious laceration to the head, according to police.
Both were taken to University Hospital with what police said appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.
A third passenger was taken to an area hospital as a precaution but was reportedly unharmed.
The cause of this crash is unknown at this time and a follow up investigation by the Linden Police Traffic Bureau is being conducted.
