A collision involving two vehicles early Tuesday morning on Routes 1&9 in Jersey City left two men with serious injuries and another with minor injuries, according to a statement released by Hudson County officials. The crash occurred just after 4 a.m. on the southbound side of the roadway between Duncan Avenue and Communipaw Avenue.
Responding officers from the Jersey City Police Department discovered two black and one white Honda Accord with extensive damage.
The driver of the black Honda Accord, a 21-year-old Jersey City resident, sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
The white Honda Accord was occupied by a 34-year-old Hackensack man, who was driving, and a 32-year-old Hackensack man, who was a passenger.
Both were transported to a local hospital and are being treated for serious injuries.
The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit, with assistance from the Jersey City Police Department, is conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
