Authorities in Bergen County are investigating a fatal house fire at 1 Ninth Street in North Arlington early Friday morning.
Officials said at 4:16 a.m., the North Arlington Police Department received a report of a house fire from one of the occupants of a single-family home at 1 Ninth Street.
North Arlington Police officials said two individuals were located in the residence and were pronounced deceased at the scene.
A third individual was located in the residence and transported to a local hospital.
Police say the victims have been identified as Mr. Safwat Saad, 75, and Maged Saad, 44.
The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating to determine the cause of the fire under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the North Arlington Police Department under the direction of Chief Scott Hedenberg.
