Passaic County authorities announced that at approximately 7:30 p.m, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of East 18th and Pearl streets on a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, members of the Paterson Police Department located evidence of a crime scene but could not find a victim.
Approximately 30 minutes later, officials said members of the Paterson Police Department were advised a 59-year-old female Paterson resident arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.
Police say a short time later, members of the Paterson Police Department were advised a 22-year- old male Paterson resident arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.
According to police, based on the initial investigation, both victims were in the area of East 18th Street and Pearl Street when they were shot.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
