There is an active search for several suspects wanted for multiple Newark East Ward robberies that left some of their victims suffering injuries on Sunday afternoon.
According to Newark officials, the **[incidents occurred around the city's Ironbound section](https://www.rlsmedia.com/article/developing-armed-men-rob-multiple-victims-newarks-ironbound-section)** before 4:30 p.m.
Police say during the robberies, two suspects exited a white Toyota Runner and began to physically attack then beat random victims while taking their personal belongings.
According to police, the suspects then drove around the community and robbed victims near the intersection of Pacific and Nichols streets.
Residents in Newark's East Ward shared videos with RLS Media, which revealed in one incident a suspect placed a male victim in a chokehold while the other assailant punched the man in the stomach and face then took personal possessions.
Both suspects sprinted to the getaway vehicle that showed NJ license plate numbers "Z79-KZM".
There were no serious injuries reported and the suspects remain at-large.
