Essex County law enforcement officials reported today that the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force is investigating the fatal shooting of Ms. Janill Perez, 35, of Roselle.
According to East Orange Police, on Wednesday, November 15, at 12:55 a.m., East Orange police responded to a report of a shooting on the 100 block of Springdale Avenue in East Orange.Police found Perez outside that location suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
She was transported to University Hospital and pronounced dead at 1:40 a.m.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
No arrests have been made.
