Passaic County authorities are investigating a shooting that sent two people to the hospital in Paterson.
Authorities said in a statement that at approximately 5:21, a.m. Sunday morning, members of the Paterson Police Department responded to the area of East Railway Avenue on a report of a shooting.
Police say a short time later members of the Paterson Police Department were advised that a 25-year-old female Paterson resident had arrived at Saint Joseph’s Medical Center in Paterson for treatment of a non-fatal gunshot wound. T
Police were later advised that a second victim, a 27-year-old male Newark resident, had arrived at the University Hospital in Newark, NJ for treatment of a non- fatal gunshot wound according to authorities.
Based on the initial investigation the shooting occurred in a business on East Railway Avenue.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
