Police have identified the 54-year-old Elizabeth man killed after he was struck by a tractor-trailer on Routes 1&9.
According to police, Enrique Manning walked onto Routes 1&9, just beyond the Bayway Circle, shortly after 10:30 a.m., when he was struck by a truck.
EMS transported Manning to an area hospital where medics pronounced him dead, police said.
The driver of the truck stopped and remained at the scene.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact Sgt. Brian Clancy at 908-558-2066.
The crash remains under investigation.
