According to police detectives assigned to the Criminal Intelligence Unit responded to the 100 block of Leslie Street when they observed a narcotics transaction by two suspects.

Authorities say detectives began to talk to a suspect on the passenger side of a grey Jeep, when the driver put the car in reverse and struck one of the detectives before fleeing the area.

Police arrested one at the scene according to police.

Detectives investigating this incident developed sufficient evidence to identify Holman as the second suspect and secured a warrant for his arrest.

Police arrested Holman today -Sunday- and charged him with aggravated assault on a police officer, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, criminal mischief, resisting arrest, possession of CDS marijuana and eluding.

These charges are merely accusations.

The suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
