The fatal shooting of a Plainfield woman is under investigation, acting Union County Prosecutor Grace H. Park announced Thursday.
Plainfield Police Division patrol units responded to a report of a body in the rear yard of a home on the 400 block of Spruce Street shortly after midnight Thursday.
Upon arrival, officers found the body of 24-year-old Neelega Perry, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
This matter remains under active joint investigation by the Union County Homicide Task Force, Plainfield Police Division, and Union County Sheriff’s Office Identification Unit.
