Middlesex County officials announced today that the victim of a homicide has been identified.
According to county officials, yesterday, at approximately 3:58 p.m., authorities responded to the area of Washington Avenue and West Fifth Street following the report of a shooting.
On their arrival, county officials said that officers located and performed lifesaving measures on Alphonso Brown, 22, of North Brunswick who sustained apparent gunshot wounds.
According to county officials, the victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
