The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office reported that a 41-year-old Paterson man was fatally shot early on August 31. Prosecutor Valdes said at approximately 2:47 a.m., Paterson Police officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the area of Auburn Street and Ellison Street.
Upon arrival, they discovered the victim lying face down with gunshot wounds.
The man was transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
