Investigators for the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office are investigating a Saturday evening house fire that sent three firefighters to the hospital according to authorities.
Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Chief Michael Postorino, of the Paterson Fire Department, said that at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Saturday night, three Paterson firefighters sustained non-life threatening injuries, including burns to their heads, while fighting a suspicious fire at a three-story residential structure located at 746 East 18th Street, in the city.
Auhtorities said the injured firefighters are being treated at Saint Barnabas Burn Center in Livingston.
Firefighters were able to get all of the tenants out of the building without any injuries authorities said.
This investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the blaze authorities said.
