The man killed by gunfire in Paterson Monday night, has been identified.
Police responded to the 400 block of East 25th Street shortly before 11:30 p.m. for a report o shots fired.
Arriving officers found an unconscious and unresponsive male, later identified as 39-year-old Genny Rivas.
It remains unclear why the resident was in Paterson, or what led to the shooting.
