UPDATE: PA Man Pleads Guilty to Violent Stabbing of NJ Resident in Atlantic City Hotel

Authorities in Atlantic County announced that on Thursday, May 30, Andrew Osborne, 35, of Philadelphia, PA, pleaded guilty to first-degree Aggravated Manslaughter in the stabbing death of Brian Wilkinson, 47, of Egg Harbor Township, inside a hotel room at the Ocean Casino in Atlantic City on September 23, 2022.AdOfficials stated that the recommended sentence is 25 years N.J.S.P., and he must serve 85% of that sentence before being eligible for parole.

During his guilty plea colloquy, officials said, Osborne admitted stabbing Wilkinson to death inside Wilkinson’s hotel room.

After the incident, officials say, Osborne fled with his wife back to Philadelphia, where detectives from the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office’s Major Crimes Unit, with assistance from the Philadelphia Police Department, located Osborne and arrested him.

Authorities say sentencing is scheduled for August 22, 2024, in front of the Honorable Bernard E. DeLury, Jr., P.J.Cr.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office’s Major Crimes Unit, along with the Atlantic City Police Department, investigated this incident, officials said.
