The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Trenton Police Shooting Response Team are investigating a shooting that occurred in Trenton Tuesday night that left one victim dead and another injured, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri reported.
Officials said at approximately 10:15 p.m., Trenton police responded to a ShotSpotter activation at Oakland Street and Hoffman Avenue.
Responding officers located two victims with gunshot wounds. Both were transported to the hospital and a short time later, Mr. Shaquan McNeil, 25, of Trenton, was pronounced dead.
Police say the second victim, a 30-year-old Trenton man, sustained non-life threatening injuries to his leg and buttocks.
