Passaic County authorities are currently investigating a devastating crash that occurred in Paterson on Friday night, resulting in the loss of life.
The incident occurred around 7:15 p.m. in the northbound lanes of Route 19 at Grand Avenue, sending a host of emergency responders to the location.
Upon arrival, Paterson firefighters discovered a vehicle in a catastrophic state, overturned and with an individual trapped inside, near the exit ramp.
Despite continuous efforts of firefighters to extricate the trapped person, their endeavors were in vain. Medical personnel at the scene ultimately declared the individual deceased.
As the investigation into this violent crash begins, authorities are piecing together the events that led to this fatal outcome.
