Middlesex County reported today that they are investigating a deadly shooting in the City of New Brunswick.
Officials said on March 12, at approximately 6:53 P.M., authorities responded to the area of Throop Avenue and Delavan Street following a report of a shooting.
Upon their arrival, officers located two male victims, both who sustained gunshot wounds and were transported to Robert Wood Hospital for treatment.
The victim, Mr. Numi Simmons, 23, of New Brunswick, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
The other male victim is currently in critical condition.
Initial investigation has revealed tha the violent encountered appeared to be targeted.
