Passaic County authorities reported that on October 1, at approximately 10:36 p.m., members of the Paterson Police responded to the area of Van Houten Street and Summer Street after a report of shots fired.
Upon their arrival, officers did not locate any victims but were advised there were two gunshot victims at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center.
Police said one victim, a 42-year-old male from Paterson, was pronounced deceased.
According to police, the second victim, a 49- year-old female from Paterson is currently in stable condition.
This investigation is active and ongoing.
