Police are continuing to investigating a double pedestrian strike that occurred in Newark's Ironbound section on Wednesday evening.
According to a statement from Newark Police, two females were struck in the crosswalk at Lafayette and Wilson avenues just before 7 p.m.
Newark Police officials say both females were transported to University Hospital with complaints of pain and non-life threatening injuries.
Police say two vehicles were involved and both drivers remained at the scene.
There were no arrests reported.
