Newark Police seeks the public’s help in identifying two suspects wanted in connection with an armed business robbery that occurred on Tuesday, January 23rd.
Police said at approximately 6:25 p.m., police responded to Brick City Liquors, located at 102 Avon Avenue, on a robbery call.
Two suspects walked into the store and demanded cash from the attendant while displaying a handgun authorities said.
The suspects fled on foot, headed westbound on Avon Avenue and then southbound on Ridgewood Avenue.
The first suspect is described as a light-skinned male, 6’1” tall and 190 lbs. and wore a beige “G-Unit” coat, black or dark blue pants and black boots.
The remaining suspect is described as a light-skinned female, 5’7” tall and 120 lbs.
Police said she wore a black hooded coat, blue jeans, and gray or silver sneakers.
While police are actively searching for these suspects, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing them from city streets.
