Authorities are investigating a shooting that left a man injured near the Newark-South Orange border late Wednesday night, according to Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda.
The incident occurred around 1:25 a.m. on Thursday, December 5, when police responded to reports of a shooting on Kenmore Avenue, near Holland Road in South Orange.
Upon arrival, officers found a man suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to University Hospital, where he is currently listed in stable condition.
No further details about the shooting or potential suspects have been released.
The investigation is ongoing, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
