Police officials in Newark are reporting the arrests of Mr. Robert R. Inzer, 46, of Newark, who they said was wanted for robbing a Shell Gas station attendant on Friday, May 10th.
According to a statement released by police, shortly after 10:20 p.m., police responded to the gas station, located at 268 Heller Parkway, after the attendant was robbed at gunpoint of his cash by a man who fled on foot heading west on Franklin Avenue.
Officials say, detectives investigating this incident developed sufficient evidence to secure a warrant for Inzer’s arrest on charges of robbery, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and certain persons prohibited from weapon possession.
Police say Inzer was charged yesterday -Sunday- while at the Essex County Correctional Facility.
These charges are merely accusations.
The suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
