Newark – Acting Essex County Prosecutor Robert D. Laurino and East Orange Public Safety Director Sheilah Coley announced today that the East Orange Police Department and the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force are investigating the fatal shooting of Mr. Terrell S. Boone, 34, of Newark.
Police say Boone was shot at approximately 8:09 p.m. yesterday. University Hospital doctors pronounced him dead at 9:12 p.m.
According to police, the shooting occurred outside a deli on North 19th Street.
The investigation is active and ongoing with no arrests made at this point in the investigation.
