Multiple school districts in NJ have confirmed shelter-in-place statutes after high schools received threatening swatting calls Friday morning.
According to some districts, the caller stated that a man was in the buildings and injured ten people with a long gun.
This prompted a significant police response and lockdowns.
All students and staff are confirmed uninjured and safe in the building.
Since the instructional day began, authorities around NJ believe the same person is responsible for multiple swatting calls that targeted Hamilton High School, Barnegat High School, East Brunswick High School, Toms River, Paterson, Jackson Liberty High School in Jackson and Newark.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
