According to officials on Wednesday, March 11, shortly after 10:15 p.m., the Jersey City Police Department and the Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit responded to a fatal motorcycle collision on Routes 1&9 North Bound prior to the North Street intersection in Jersey City.
The initial investigation by the Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit determined that the motorcycle crashed into a car carrier. No summonses have been issued at this time.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash at 10:35 p.m.
The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit is actively investigating this collision.
