Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash on a street in Elizabeth Wednesday night.
According to Elizabeth City Spokeswoman Ruby Contreras, at approximately 8 p.m., police responded to reports of a crash with injuries on Christine Street.
Upon arrival, Spokeswoman Contreras said police found a motorcyclist suffering a non-life threatening head injury at that location. He was transported to University Hopsital in Newark and was last listed in stable condition.
According to Spokeswoman Contreras, the motorcyclist traveled at a high rate of speed, going the wrong way on Christine when the driver of a car could not stop in time to avoid colliding with the biker.
The m motorcyclist is expected to survive.
