Fire officials are probing a fierce blaze that engulfed a commercial building in North Brunswick Township, housing mattresses, construction gear, and propane tanks.
The inferno, igniting just before 3:30 p.m. on Nassau Street, prompted an eight-alarm response for additional manpower as flames aggressively spread through the structure.
Neighborhood residents were hastily evacuated amidst fears the fire might reach their homes. Explosions were heard, heightening the alarm during the ordeal.
Thankfully, the blaze was contained after firefighters' relentless efforts, allowing residents to return safely with no injuries reported.
The cause of the catastrophic fire remains under meticulous investigation.
