Police in the Essex County Town of Millburn are searching for suspects wanted for stealing thousands of dollars in merchandise from a mall Monday morning.
Millburn Police said officers responded to a call from Dior at the Mall at Short Hills on Monday, reporting a theft in progress around 10:45 a.m.
Upon arrival, store employees at Dior told cops that four unknown black males -who wore dark clothing and masks- entered the store and began pulling handbags off the wall.
Millburn Police Chief Brian Gilfedder said several employees hid in a back room and called police.
The suspects reportedly fled in a black SUV with 25 Dior purses--a total value of $120,000.
The incident remains under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
No physical injuries were reported.
