Middlesex County officials announced today that a fatal shooting is under investigation in New Brunswick.
Today, at approximately 1:50 a.m., authorities responded to Fernwood Court following the report of a shooting.
Upon their arrival, officers located Cedric Paige, 37, of New Brunswick who sustained multiple, apparent gunshot wounds.
Officials said Paige was transported from the scene to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
At present, the shooting does not appear to be a random act.
