Authorities in Passaic County announced that at approximately 1:47 a.m. on Monday morning, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of Carroll Street and Pearl Street on a report of a shooting.
Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes stated that the Paterson Police located a 51-year-old male victim from Passaic.
The victim was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment of a non-fatal gunshot wound, officials said.
According to officials, members of the Paterson Police Department were able to locate a potential crime scene in the area.
The investigation remains active and ongoing, officials say, and more information will be released once it becomes available.
