Authorities in Atlantic County announced that on Wednesday, June 26, Stephen Sirch, 30, from Voorhees, was indicted by an Atlantic County Grand Jury for second-degree vehicular homicide based on his involvement in a motor vehicle crash that occurred in April 2024.
Officials stated that on April 3, 2024, at approximately 2:15 p.m., Sirch was involved in a motor vehicle crash on the Black Horse Pike in Hamilton Township.
Sirch’s vehicle struck a vehicle driven by Karina E. Castillo, 29, from Clementon, according to officials.
Officials say Castillo was pronounced deceased at the scene as a result of the injuries she sustained.
Authorities say a subsequent investigation revealed Sirch was traveling at an excessive speed at the time of the crash.
This fatal crash investigation was a cooperative effort by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Crash Investigations Unit and the Hamilton Township Police Department, officials said.
